The School of Molecular and Cell Biology seeks committed academics to make a dynamic contribution to the sub-discipline of Genetics and Developmental Biology and Applied Bioinformatics through an active engagement with both academic and administrative tasks within the School

Job Description

Teaching all aspects of the discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, maintain an active research profile and participate in the administration of the School, Faculty and University.

Inherent Criteria

  • The minimum qualification is a PhD in a related field and academic teaching.
  • Postdoctoral experience and publications in the relevant field would be an added advantage.

Expertise:

A demonstrable background in the fundamentals of genetics and/or immunology and/or applied bioinformatics and a focused research interest in a field such as molecular genetics, population genetics, cytogenetics, genetics of development and genomics and/or immunology is desirable.
