Job Description
DUTIES:
- Lecture principles and applied aspects of surface and groundwater hydrology including modelling and surface-groundwater interactions
- Initiate, find funding for, perform and publish research
- Supervise honours, masters and PhD students
- Engage in community projects
- Assist the department in developing and improving its curriculam
- Take part in departmental strategic planning workshops.
- Perform administrative tasks if required by the HoD
Inherent Criteria
Requirements:
Professor
- PHD in Hydrology and Water Resources or related areas of Water Resources Engineering.
- At least 10 years teaching experience in tertiary institution or 7 years professional experience in the relevant field.
- At least 15 articles published in accredited journals, Chapters in a book and book publication.
- Evidence of supervision of Master or Doctoral students at least four.
Associate Professor
- PHD in Hydrology and Water Resources or Related areas of Water Resources Engineering
- At least ten (10) years teaching experience in tertiary institution or seven (7) years professional experience in the relevant field.
- At least 10 articles published in accredited journals. Chapters in a book and book publication.
- Evidence of supervision of 4 Masters/ Doctoral students
