Job Description

The successful candidate for the vacant position in the Department of Public Law and Jurisprudence will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

  • Facilitate learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the field of public law (administrative law and constitutional law) and/or  public international law and/or jurisprudence
  • Conduct research and publish in the field of public law and/or public international law and/or jurisprudence
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Academic administration
  • Curriculum development and assessment
  • Community engagement

Inherent Criteria

Minimum Requirements:

  • LLD or equivalent, preferably in the field of public law (administrative law or constitutional law) and/or  public international law and/or jurisprudence
  • Teaching experience, preferably in the field of public law and/or public international law and/or jurisprudence
  • A record of quality peer reviewed publications, preferably in the field of public law
  • Record of successful supervision at LLB final year level, whilst supervision at Master’s and Doctoral level would be advantageous
