Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the Fort Hare Foundation fundraising initiatives
- Support the development and implementation of fundraising strategies for the Foundation.
- Contribute to the Foundation’s strategic and annual planning
- Participate in planning, writing funding proposals to comply with donors/ funders guidelines and standards, paying particular attention to accountability requirements and ensuring that applications meet donor.
- Liaise with faculties and service departments to get information that will assist in proposal development and accountability
- Accountability to the funders/ or donors Contribute in improving the effectiveness of the Foundations’ oversight, monitoring and coordination of fundraising and reporting.
- Coordinate cross-programme funding and reporting arrangements, acting as the lead person setting plans and organising meetings.
- Keep the organisation up-to-date on changing donor priorities and ensure that new funding opportunities are identified and shared with teams in a timely manner.
- Event organisation and management Ensure that the events are successful.
Inherent Criteria
Minimum requirements:
- Three year (3) qualification in Marketing and / or Communication
- Five (5) years’ experience, two (2) of which must be at management level.
- Experience in stakeholder management Proposal development experience
