Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
Teach Social Work courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects
Produce scholarly publications
Participate in collaborative research projects undertaken locally and internationally
Refine curricula at undergraduate and postgraduate level
Participate in community engagement initiatives identified by the department, faculty and University
Mentor junior members of staff and postgraduate students
Participate and contribute to department, faculty and University administrative responsibilities
Inherent Criteria
Minimum requirements:
- Doctoral degree in Social Work
- Registration with South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP
- 5 years teaching experience in a higher education environment, OR, 5 years postdoctoral experience in a higher education environment including undergraduate teaching
- A proven track record of scholarly publications
- Evidence of a postgraduate supervision record

- A qualification in higher education, teaching and learning or progress towards such a qualification
