Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Ability to conduct online teaching and assessments.
- Participate in curriculum design and implementation of newly accredited programmes.
- Attract funding and conduct research in the fields of transport and/or competition economics
- Supervise postgraduate research in the fields of transport and/or competition economics
- Participate in public engagement activities within the University
- Academic administration and citizenship
Inherent Criteria
Minimum Requirements:
- A doctoral degree in Economics
- At least five (5) years’ experience in a higher education environment or a minimum of three (3) years in higher education environment plus relevant industry experience
- Proven experience in teaching Transport Economics, Marine Economics, and Competition Economics courses
- A proven research record supported by publications in DHET accredited Journals
- Evidence of a strong postgraduate supervision record at masters and doctoral level
