Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
- Adherence to all procedures and policies of the Student Accounts Office
- Perform monthly reconciliations.
- Supervises Student Accounts Staff in the absence of the HOD.
- Review the work of student account administrators.
- Ensure collection of debtors is performed in accordance with the policy.
- Undertakes on-going communication with students relating to all aspects of student income and to ensure the prompt and accurate dispatch of statements.
- Ensure that all Fees charged are correct and that all students are charged accordingly.
- Implement principles of customer care in assisting and advising students
- Capture ITS data affecting Student Accounts, to ensure accurate and prompt amendments.
- Ensure that all journals are processed in line with sound accounting principles
- Design and develop work flow processes and submit to the HOD: Students Accounts.
- Perform any other duties as directed by supervisors.
Inherent Criteria
Minimum Requirements and Competencies:
Qualifiation:
- Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting
Experience:
- 3 Years’ experience in a student finance division at a Higher Education Institution
- Knowledge of ERP System
- Good interpersonal as well as sound communication skills
- Added Advantage: Working knowledge of ITS (Student Debtors Sub System).
