Purpose:
As an HR Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day HR operations for the university. You will work closely with the HR team, senior management, and employees to ensure that HR policies, programs, and processes are aligned with the university's strategic objectives and comply with legal and regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring the HR systems, processes, and procedures are efficient, effective, and support the university's goals.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day HR operations for the university, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits administration.
- Ensure that HR policies, programs, and processes are aligned with the university's strategic objectives and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with senior management to assess the organization's needs and identify areas for improvement in processes, policies, and culture.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to support the efficient and effective delivery of HR services.
- Ensure HR systems, processes, and procedures are efficient, effective, and support the university's goals.
- Manage HR data and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Manage the HR budget, including identifying opportunities to optimize spending.
- Collaborate with the HR team, senior management, and employees to identify and address HR-related issues and concerns.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and practices.
Inherent Criteria
Requirements:
- Honours degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR operations or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and procedures.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Experience in managing HR systems, processes, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HR data management and analysis.
- Experience managing HR budgets and optimizing spending.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
