6-Months Fixed Term Contract Appointment

Purpose:

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving organizational effectiveness, building capacity, and driving change management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of organizational design, change management, talent management, and performance management. He/she will be responsible for leading and managing the review and redesign of the university's organizational structure, as well as the development and implementation of organizational development and change management strategies and initiatives that align with the university's strategic objectives. He/she will work closely with senior management to assess the organization's needs, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions to enhance the institution’s effectiveness, efficiency, and employee engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the review and redesign of the university's organizational structure, ensuring that it aligns with the university's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement organizational development strategies and initiatives that support the university's strategic objectives.
  • Design and deliver training and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and competencies.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support the adoption of new programs and initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and employees to help them achieve their professional and personal goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify key organizational development priorities, develop strategies, and implement solutions.
  • Conduct organizational assessments and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate team building sessions and training programs to enhance team performance and build a high-performance culture.
  • Design and implement change management plans to support the adoption of new initiatives and organizational changes.
  • Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Implement performance management processes to drive accountability and support the achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure that all employees understand and are engaged in organizational change initiatives

Inherent Criteria

Requirements:

  • Honours degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in organizational development or a related field, with experience in managing and implementing programs and initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational development theories, principles, and practices.
  • Experience in managing organizational structure review and redesign initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project management and change management methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
