The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint Travel Coordinators X2 on a six months fixed term contract position in Finance Department.
Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Make and confirm travel accommodation, reservation and inform clients of bus, plane, ship and train connections.
- Coordinate the issuing of client's itineraries, relevant documentation and tickets for travel and vouchers for accommodation.
- Provide information of travel information of travel government regulations including customs regulations and use of credit cards and traveler's cheques.
- Evaluate the services (hotels, airlines) and compare with competitors.
- Ascertain the feasibility and costs of entering into a service agreement.
- Ensure that the best value for money is obtained for the institution.
- Liaise with departmental representatives to determine specific needs.
- Notify clients on travel dates, baggage limits, medical and visa requirements.
- Explore sources of supply and research traveler's requests for travel and accommodation.
- Determine the full contents of service.
Inherent Criteria
Minimum Requirements:
- Senior Certificate plus a Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
- 3 Years relevant working experience
