The Fort Hare Foundation seeks to appoint a Finance and Administration Manager
Reporting to the Director of Fort Hare Foundation, the Finance and Administration Manager provides financial and investment management as well as financial reporting for the Fort Hare Foundation.
Job Description
The role will be responsible for:
- Overseeing all financial aspects of all the cost centres within the Foundation.
- Budget preparation, variance analysis and reporting.
- Procurement management (in line with the Supply Chain Management Policy).
- Expenditure management and payment processing.
- Monthly reconciliation of all investment accounts.
- Investment management to ensure good return on investment.
- Provide financial support and advice to the Director.
- Asset Management (demand management, asset register, etc.).
- General Ledger reconciliations.
- Monthly payments and statutory reporting.
- Prepare Annual Financial Statements.
- Attend to the Audit (internal and external) and address related findings.
- Compliance with Legislation and Risk Management.
- Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the Director.
Inherent Criteria
Minimum requirements:
- BCom Degree in Accounting or BCompt or BTech in Financial Management
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a financial accounting and/or investment management environment.
- Financial Management experience within the higher education public sector.
Other Knowledge Required:
- Procurement, Accounting, and record keeping, Financial Reporting, Financial Reporting, Financial Accounting and Stakeholder Management.
