The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced candidate for the vacant position in the Faculty of Education. 

Job Description


  • To teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the area of Accounting/Economics/Business Studies, and any Education Studies Modules
  • To take part on issues of curriculum renewal
  • Supervising postgraduate students
  • To carry out research and produce research publications
  • To engage in community outreach and collaborative
  • To participate in training and assessing student teachers for and during school-based work integrated learning

Inherent Criteria


  • Doctoral degree in Education with specialisation in Accounting/Economics/Business Studies.
  • A professional teaching qualification
  • At least 5 years’ experience teaching Accounting/Economics/Business Studies in higher education for Senior Lecturer / 3 years’ experience teaching Accounting/Economics/Business Studies in higher education for Lecturer.
  • A track record of DHET accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer.
  • Evidence of postgraduate supervision experience at least at Master’s level.
