The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced candidate for the vacant position in the Faculty of Education.
Job Description
DUTIES:
- To teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the area of Accounting/Economics/Business Studies, and any Education Studies Modules
- To take part on issues of curriculum renewal
- Supervising postgraduate students
- To carry out research and produce research publications
- To engage in community outreach and collaborative
- To participate in training and assessing student teachers for and during school-based work integrated learning
Inherent Criteria
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Doctoral degree in Education with specialisation in Accounting/Economics/Business Studies.
- A professional teaching qualification
- At least 5 years’ experience teaching Accounting/Economics/Business Studies in higher education for Senior Lecturer / 3 years’ experience teaching Accounting/Economics/Business Studies in higher education for Lecturer.
- A track record of DHET accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer.
- Evidence of postgraduate supervision experience at least at Master’s level.
