Job Description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide and facilitate teaching, learning and assessment.
- Develop learning material and course content, to ensure continuity in relevance and quality.
- Provide opportunities for individual student interaction and consultation.
- Actively perform research to update knowledge and understanding in the field of specialisation.
- Research should be evidenced by publications and presentations and eventually obtaining a doctoral degree.
- Publish on average 1 SAPSE/IS journal article per two-year cycle.
- Develop links with relevant industries and external bodies.
- Participate actively in leadership and administration on departmental, faculty and university level.
Inherent Criteria
Inherent requirements:
- MEng/MSc in Engineering (Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering) on NQF Level 9 with a minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in industry/academic institutions. OR
- BEng/BSc in Engineering (Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering) on NQF Level 8 with a minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in industry /academic institutions.
- Relevant registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), as well as discipline specific Association(s) (attach proof).
