Job Description
- Will be functioning as a clinical research member within the Surgical Gastrointestinal Clinical Unit at the University of the Free State.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the units clinical research databases, data collection, ethics applications, and writing of manuscripts for the clinical trials within the Surgical Gastrointestinal Clinical Unit.
- Responsible for writing grant applications and assist in co-ordinating the clinical units research portfolio.
- Contribute to the development and innovation of the research unit.
Inherent Criteria
- Post-doctoral researcher.
- Experience in research proposal development and ethics application requirements.
- Advanced computer skills and experience in Redcap database development and management.
- Portfolio in academic writing with at least 3 publications in DHET accredited journals of which one must be first author.
- Basic knowledge in medical statistics.
- Experience in statistics (medical), clinical data collection, meta-analysis or clinical research is advantages.
