Responsibilities include:

• Teaching English Home Language and First Additional Language in undergraduate and postgraduate modules
• Developing and evaluating teaching and learning materials for English language teaching
• Participating in the development and assessment of teaching and learning opportunities including practical teaching
• Conducting research and publishing in chosen areas of specialisation
• Supervising and co-supervising postgraduate students at honours, masters and doctoral level
• Identifying and applying for research funding
• Participating in Social Impact projects and rendering appropriate services to Stellenbosch University and the teaching community
• Contributing to academic administration and leadership in the discipline, Department and Faculty
